Stay Informed. Take Action. Make a Difference.
At Justice Beyond the Courtroom, our team is dedicated to working to proactively help shape laws that impact public safety. We closely track proposed legislation and work with lawmakers to ensure new bills reflect the best interests of our communities. California has passed laws that have significantly changed the criminal justice system, including Proposition 36, Assembly Bill 109 (Realignment), Proposition 47, and Proposition 57. These changes have affected sentencing, reclassification of crimes, and early release policies. We encourage you to stay informed about current and pending legislation and to contact your California legislator or senator to share your perspective. You can find your representative at findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov.
