Over the past decade, victims of crime, law enforcement partners, and prosecutors have faced significant challenges—both in the courtroom and in our communities. Many of these challenges stem from legislative changes and ballot propositions that have reshaped California’s justice system to the detriment of public safety and victims’ rights.
Justice Beyond the Courtroom in partnership with the Sacramento, Placer, Riverside and San Bernardino County District Attorney Offices are responding by co-sponsoring the 2nd Annual Advocacy Day at the California State Capitol events. Last year, the event was a great success, bringing together more than 150 survivors and advocates from 22 counties meeting with more than 50 legislators to amplify the voices of crime victims and push for meaningful legislative change.
To build on that momentum, District Attorney Offices across the state are inviting their victim organizations to participate in this year’s event:

Statewide participation is crucial to ensure that policymakers hear directly from those who work tirelessly to support victims. By standing together, we can highlight the critical needs of survivors, advocate for policy improvements, and foster a unified approach to victims’ rights in California.
If you would like to participate, please contact your local county District Attorney’s Office. You may also contact eventcoordinators@justicebeyondcourtroom.org for registration assistance.
Thank you for your commitment to justice and advocacy. Together, we can ensure victims’ voices are heard where it matters most.
